Here we will report on our brewing projects at irregular intervals, starting in June 2021. We always have different types of beer in stock, because what could be worse than a brewery with no beer! For special occasions, we also brew special beers for members of TU Clausthal. Simply contact us by e-mail and let us know what you would like and we will take care of the rest. Just bear in mind that only Kveik beers are brewed very quickly, they are ready to drink after 10 days, but they get even better with a little ageing. We need 3 weeks for a wheat beer, a good 6 weeks for a "Zellersch", Cologne-style brew, as well as for IPA's such as "Imperial Pale Ale", "India Pale Ale", "NEIPA" etc.. For bottom-fermented beers such as "Pils", "Export", "Helles" or "Lager" in general, at least 8 weeks should be estimated, preferably 10 weeks. We can also brew low-alcohol (0.5 - 1.5 vol-%) and alcohol-free (< 0.5 vol-%) beers with maltose-negative yeasts, which we receive from our colleagues in Munich, and even a non-alcoholic wheat beer with a wonderful pear aroma is possible. And, last but not least, we also brew a drinkable dark malt beer with a maximum of 0.5% alcohol by volume using a top-secret recipe. Incidentally, this is also brewed according to the same recipe at the Zellerfeld Brewing Academy and can be ordered at the Biermünze. If beer is required for a large event and our capacity is not sufficient, no problem, we brew at the Brauakademie in Zellerfeld on the 300 liter system.
As far as possible, we use malts that have Bioland certification.
Members of Clausthal University of Technology can pick up beer from us for tasting free of charge with about a week's notice. In order to keep our costs manageable, the beer is usually available in 1 liter bottles to quench even the greatest thirst. If you are not employed at Clausthal University of Technology but are at least 16 years old, you can of course also sample the beer by appointment.
